Touch Tone Massage Therapy is proud to offer the following services:

  Lomi Lomi

Swedish Massage:
By far the most widely known and most requested type of massage, Swedish utilizes long flowing strokes and the kneading of muscle tissue.  It is very relaxing and is used to help reduce tension.  Over time it can also help with insomnia, hypertension (high blood pressure), headaches, and immune system issues.  An additional benefit is that it is a superb attitude adjuster!

Therapeutic Massage:
This is a catch-all phrase.  It may include all the other types of bodywork mentioned here, as well as "deep tissue" massage, stretching, and the application of hot packs, Tiger Balm or a similar topical analgesic.  It is geared specifically to the individual, and as your needs change so does the massage.

Happiness for the feet!  Reflexology is based on the theory that our bodies consist of 10 energy zones that run vertically from the top of our head to the soles of the feet, therefore stimulation of these zones on the feet can affect everything else - including the organs.

Neuromuscular Therapy:

Also known as Trigger Point Therapy.  Trigger points are hard nodules or bands of muscle fiber that refer pain to another area.  There are even abdominal points that cause back pain!  Release of trigger points can ease pain when nothing else has worked.

Myofascial Release:

MFR is a series of slow, deep releases of the fascia - the connective tissue.  Fascia runs throughout our bodies, surrounding every muscle bundle, holding organs in place, and helping provide our body's framework.  It is comprised of elastin and collagen fibers that glide against each other in a liquid ground substance.  When trauma occurs to the fascia, the ground substance dehydrates and the fibers become glued together.  Ever roll your shoulders and hear "crunching" between your shoulder blades?  That's crepitus - or dehydrated fascia - that no longer moves freely.  Fascia takes a minimum of 90 to 120 seconds to begin rehydrating when compression or elongation is applied, so MFR is a much slower form of bodywork than massage.  But it is deep.  After an MFR session you often feel like you've had a full body workout.

Lomi Lomi Massage:

Lomi Lomi is Hawaiian massage that utilizes forearm strokes.  It relaxes your body while delighting your senses.  A special 5-oil blend is used, with tropical essential oils added - including ylang ylang.  Draping is modified to accommodate long gliding strokes that travel from your foot to your shoulder.  It's similar to a Swedish massage - only tropical!

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an Eastern form of healing based on energy that is very 'still' and meditative, but amazingly powerful.  The hands rest lightly upon the skin, or in some cases even a few inches off the body.

iSculpt Body Contouring:

iSculpt Body Contouring uses Decompression Massage Therapy to help smooth out and reduce the appearance of cellulite.  By reducing atmospheric pressure in a localized area it dramatically increases circulation, detoxing the body and tightening and smoothing the skin.  Body treatments are available - usually concentrating on the waist-to-knees area where cellulite tends to be most prevalent - or you can opt for a 'natural face lift'.  Just click on the button labeled "iSculpt" and read all about it.
